Enertherm Engineering was founded in Peterborough, United Kingdom with a clear mission: to help process industries reduce energy consumption, cut emissions, and improve operational efficiency through better thermal engineering.

What began as a specialist consultancy in thermal design and energy auditing has grown into a comprehensive engineering partner — designing and manufacturing industrial thermal equipment alongside delivering advanced process engineering services across 14 disciplines.

Today, we serve industries ranging from chemical manufacturing and pharmaceuticals to food processing, agriculture, defence, and waste management. Our approach combines deep thermodynamic expertise with modern simulation tools, data-driven analysis, and a relentless focus on practical, implementable solutions.

From a specialist consultancy to a comprehensive thermal engineering partner.

Enertherm Ltd Founded

Established by Dr. Francois Pierrel with a primary focus on developing Thermal Insulation Coating. Over 1,000 formulations were developed to produce sprayable water-based thermal coatings, with 50+ live trials conducted for clients such as Chevron Oil. The intellectual property for this low-temperature (170ºC) technology was later sold to Hempel in 2021, resulting in Hempatherm IC 175 and Hempatherm IC 170.

Team Expansion & Key Projects

New employees joined to manage daily operations and address increasing demand for engineering design. Key projects included solid waste incinerators for multiple UK customers, a dehydrator for the food industry, a large rotary dryer and cooler for aluminium recycling, and an incinerator and heat recovery system for Rolex for waste treatment. In 2018, developed and released EcoLog V1.0 — a proprietary PLC-based data logging system capable of monitoring any tags directly from a PLC.

Key projects included solid waste incinerators for multiple UK customers, a dehydrator for the food industry, a large rotary dryer and cooler for aluminium recycling, and an incinerator and heat recovery system for Rolex for waste treatment. In 2018, developed and released EcoLog V1.0 — a proprietary PLC-based data logging system capable of monitoring any tags directly from a PLC.

Launched EcoLog V2.0 — a compact, embedded data logging system for seamless field device connectivity. Releasing an in-house product range including heat exchangers for the automotive industry, condensers, incinerators, thermal oxidisers, and thermal process heaters — engineered for superior thermal efficiency and waste recovery, integrating Digital Twin controllers and multi-energy hybrid systems for lower costs and reduced CO₂ emissions.
