Lessons Learned: The Importance of Trial and Error in Business

I recently had the great opportunity to be interviewed on the Success is a System podcast with Mike Greene. During the podcast, we discussed the challenges of creating an effective product and business, the significance of having an excellent team, and ways to remain innovative in the industry.

Brief overview of what we talked about on the podcast

As Managing Director at EnerTherm Engineering Ltd., my team and I work to provide comprehensive industrial engineering solutions that assist industries in reaching their Net Zero objectives. I shared practical knowledge about trial and error in business, the importance of having a unique selling point, and taking risks to expand your business.

The most valuable realisation from our discussion was that failure is an essential element of learning. Occasionally it implies throwing away what you have built up and beginning again, but this is part of the journey towards success. Additionally, we discussed how essential it is to have a strong team who supports your business, willing to take risks along with you.

Another critical factor for progress is managing cash flow. Even though it's fine to spend money to grow quickly, having systems in place to avoid a cash flow problem is important. It might even be necessary to slow down sales so that you stay ahead of the competition.

Success isn't only based on luck – it's a system. With the right attitude, team, and plan, you can also reach your version of success.

Finally, I want to thank Mike Greene for hosting the Success is a System podcast and offering his insights into helping entrepreneurs and leaders succeed. It was an honour being a guest on his show and sharing my experience with his listeners. Make sure to follow Mike on YouTube or find him on LinkedIn or TikTok for more information about successful businesses and interviews with the top businessmen of our era.
