EnerTherm Engineering attended this year’s PPMA Show, meeting partners, colleagues and new contacts across the exhibition. At the event, the team discussed current and future projects with Colin Wayman of SEW, Shane Few of S4 Engineering and Nick Mussell.
Project conversations and new contacts
The show provided time for useful conversations with established contacts and for making new connections. With processing and automation equipment on display throughout the halls, it was also an opportunity to see the wider industrial community together in one place.

EnerTherm Engineering values the chance to meet people face to face, continue project conversations and hear what is influencing plans across the sector.
Automation and AI in focus
AI was noticeably more present than in previous years. Conversations explored how businesses are using large language models to improve productivity and functionality, alongside the automation systems on display.
Welcoming future talent
It was particularly encouraging to see so many students attending. Their presence showed universities connecting with the industrial environment, while the impression was that many young people were also looking for opportunities during a period of change.
For EnerTherm Engineering, the PPMA Show was a useful opportunity to reconnect with partners, discuss ongoing work and meet people entering the industry.

Dr. François Pierrel is Managing Director of EnerTherm Engineering with over two decades of expertise in thermal design, heat transfer, and industrial energy optimisation. He holds a PhD in Heat Transfer from Cranfield University and a Post-Doctorate from Heriot-Watt University.
